Introduction to Media and Information Literacy
In your opinion, what makes an individual literate in media and information?
For me, an individual is literate in media if he or she fully
understands his responsibility in using media, knows how to operate it, is
aware of its purpose and most especially, verifies information before believing
it. Being critical enough to know what to share and when to share it is also an
important indication of literacy in media. Last is having the right knowledge
and using media as a tool to further widen your learning.
What activities/habits do you practice which illustrate media and information
literacy? Give at least three examples.
I only share
educational videos from reliable accounts .
I do not use
offensive or foul words that can potentially harm others.
I know how to
operate and use different kinds of media.
Hours in a week I spend using various media |
I spend most of my time in Youtube because I get to catch up on TV series or shoes I miss because of school. I can also watch documentaries and learn different things which I am very fond of. Lastly, I have a wide option of music to listen to.
