Types of Media: Print, Broadcast, New Media (Lecture)


My Own Definition 
Print Media- is a form of media that uses physical print in order to disseminate information
Broadcast Media-is a form of media that uses a wide variety of audio or video in order to give information
New Media-is the latest form of media wherein in is mostly based on social networking sites and the internet to reach a wider scope of audience.


Synthesis
 Describe how new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional and new media. 
Through globalization and innovation in technologies, new ways were eventually developed to get your message across, easier and faster.

 Explain how media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction. 
 Media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction by providing more efficient, reliable and faster dissemination of information through the various types of media. 

 Describe the use of one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on a current issue in society.
Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter greatly affects the impact of a certain issue. Since using these sites are free, unlimited, accessible and most of all interactional, a current issue is easily discussed and debated. There is a wider reach in term of people involved in the conversation because anyone can comment and explain their opinion.

Explain how a person could be portrayed in public in the age of media convergence
A person's character can be easily destroyed or make up by media because everybody can see you and your activities online, they can use those to ruin a person or to make them really famous.
